Mangaldai :: The ongoing pre-recruitment counselling and training rally at Bhairabkunda organized by the SSB’s 23 Battalion, Lalpool under its Sector Head Quarters, Bezpara near here has witnessed tremendous response from the rural unemployed youths of Darrang and Udalguri district, as more than 1500 youths both boys and girls registered their names as stated by Rohitaswa , the Commandant of the organizer 23 Bn of the SSB. “The event aimed at offering a platform for the local talented youths particularly from the Bodo community to explore themselves to choose a bright career in different central security forces including SSB, BSF, CRPF, NIA etc. We are very much delighted that youths of the region have responded well even in this Covid situation. More than 1500 youths both boys and girls have registered so far.” , said Commandant Rohitaswa while talking to this correspondent during his visit to the event on Tuesday.
The event also found very much fruitful for their future career by the participating youths as mentioned by a no of youths including Rohit Basumatary from Bhergaon, Priyanka Basumatary from Rowta and Sonamani Basumatary from Orang among others. ” It has offered us enough information and guidance on our future career like what is the age and qualifications to start a career in Central Security Forces. How to apply, where to apply and the way we need to prepare etc. We are benefitted a lot. ” ,the youths shared to this correspondent .
Meanwhile , the week-long career whic had started on July 5 last programme organized for the first time in the region by SSB operating in Indo-Bhutan international border, was also addressed by Chance Keishing, Deputy Inspector General , SSB, Sector Head Quarters, Bezpara, Mangaldai. In his motivational speech, DIG, Keishing gave many valuable tips to the participating youth to become successful in competitive exams for both officer level and lower grade posts in various central security forces and thus avail the opportunity to serve the nation. ^ You have to devote at least six hours a day for studies. At the same time you are to develop yourself physically fit too. Live in the ‘real’ not in the ‘reel.” , DIG, Keishing underscored. It may be mentioned here that the region from where the youths are participating once happened to be the insurgency affected for long .
