President Murmu reviews Passing Out Parade of 145th batch of National Defense Academy – NDA at Khadakwasla in Pune

Pune: President Droupadi Murmu reviewed the Passing Out Parade of the 145th batch of National Defense Academy – NDA at Khadakwasla in Pune today. President praised NDA’s efforts to further the tradition of preparing defense personnel. She expressed confidence that the cadets will take forward the tradition of armed forces with dedication and velour. She said, women cadets in this parade are a testimony of women empowerment. Vasudhaiv kutumbakam (वसुधैव कुटुंबकम) is our culture and our military is fully capable of promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the country, she added.

A total of 353 cadets took part in this parade, which include 12 foreign cadets. The President will also release a special postage stamp and coin on the occasion of the completion of 75 years of the Academy. This will be followed by an interaction with the medal winners and foreign cadets and parents. The foundation stone of the upcoming building of the 5th Battalion will also be laid by the President.
