President to address centenary celebrations of Harcourt Butler Technical University in Kanpur today

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind will address the centenary celebrations of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) at Kanpur today. President Kovind is on a his two-day visit to the city. HBTU is a premier State Technical University. The HBTU was named after Sir Spencer Harcourt Butler, Governor of the United Provinces in British India and is one of the oldest engineering institutes in the country.

AIR correspondent reports, President will release a coffee table book, University history book, postal stamp, special cover and commemorative coin photo of centinary celebration HBTU. On the  occasion the president will also inaugurate 10 buildings including kulpati awas and different hostels for students. Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) is a premier State Technical University situated at Kanpur.

The President yesterday addressed the gathering at the birth centenary celebrations of Chaudhary Harmohan Singh Yadav in Kanpur. On the occasion he appealed to the youth of the nation that after achieving success in their life they should give back to the society. He said that we should do efforts in united manner for making our nation developed, secure and strong.
