Prestige University Indore Partners Malaysia’s IACT College for International Immersion in Content Creation

Indore : Prestige University Indore has announced a collaboration with IACT College, Malaysia, creating opportunities for undergraduate students to take part in a week-long international immersion in digital content creation, storytelling, media practice, and contemporary communication technologies. The collaboration reflects the University’s view that internationalisation should not be reserved for academic exchange and postgraduate research alone, but made accessible and experiential for undergraduates early in their education.

Internationalisation in Indian higher education has largely centred on progression pathways, faculty exchange, and research partnerships — valuable, but concentrated at the postgraduate level. Prestige University Indore continues to pursue those academic collaborations in Europe and the United States, while also building shorter, experience-led immersions that a far wider group of undergraduate students can take part in.

Founded more than five decades ago by Malaysia’s advertising industry, IACT College is among Southeast Asia’s longest-standing specialist institutions in creative communications education. It offers programmes across advertising, broadcasting, film, digital media, marketing communications, and graphic design, and is the only college in Malaysia accredited by the International Advertising Association (IAA), New York.

The immersion is built around the digital economy. Across business, technology, media, and public life, the ability to create content, communicate ideas, and engage audiences has become a core professional capability — and, for a growing number of younger learners, a career path in its own right. The programme combines international exposure with hands-on engagement in content creation, creative communication, and emerging media technologies, in a different cultural and business environment.

Speaking about the partnership, Prof. Keyoor Purani, Vice Chancellor, Prestige University Indore said;  “Younger generations increasingly view content creation in two ways; as an essential skill for communication and professional success, and, for many, as a legitimate career path in its own right. Universities need to move beyond treating content as a marketing activity, and help students understand how ideas are created, communicated, and amplified in a digital world. Offering that exposure in an international setting adds a dimension classroom learning alone cannot.”

The initiative is consistent with the University’s educational philosophy, expressed in its motto, ‘To Know. To Be. To Do.’, and its emphasis on applied and immersive learning through internships, experiential projects, interdisciplinary pathways, and industry and international engagement.
