Pushpanjali Medical Education & Research Centre Successfully Organises Patient Safety Workshop in Association with CAHO
New Delhi: Pushpanjali Medical Education & Research Centre (PMERC), in association with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), successfully organised a comprehensive Patient Safety Workshop as part of Pushpanjali Medicon 2026, bringing together leading members of the healthcare fraternity, including senior clinicians, doctors, hospital leaders, administrators and healthcare professionals. The workshop provided a dedicated platform for meaningful discussions on strengthening patient safety practices, building resilient healthcare systems and addressing the evolving challenges faced by healthcare organisations.
Held under the theme “Risk, Resilience & Profitability,” the workshop focused on the need for healthcare institutions to move beyond viewing patient safety as a standalone quality initiative and instead embed it across clinical, operational and organisational processes. The programme explored how effective risk management, preparedness, resilient systems and a strong culture of safety can contribute to better patient outcomes while also supporting sustainable and efficient healthcare delivery.

The workshop featured nine sessions covering seven hours of learning, providing participants with an extensive academic programme addressing different dimensions of patient safety and healthcare management. The sessions encouraged interaction between experts and delegates, allowing participants to examine real-world challenges, share experiences and understand practical approaches that can be incorporated into their respective healthcare settings.
The workshop also brought together participants from diverse areas of the healthcare ecosystem, creating opportunities for cross-institutional learning and professional exchange. The presence of senior healthcare professionals and hospital leaders added depth to the discussions, with delegates engaging on the importance of translating patient safety principles into measurable and sustainable practices within their organisations.
Adding further academic value to the programme, the workshop was accredited for 5.5 hours by the Delhi Medical Council (DMC), recognising its educational relevance for medical professionals. The accreditation also reinforced the workshop’s focus on structured continuing medical education and professional development.
The Patient Safety Workshop formed an important component of Pushpanjali Medicon 2026, the fifth edition of the annual medical education initiative by Pushpanjali Medical Education & Research Centre. The larger programme is being organised on a much grander scale to provide healthcare professionals with opportunities for academic learning, skill development, professional interaction and knowledge exchange.
