In Rajasthan, the migrants from Pakistan who have been waiting for citizenship for many years are happy after Citizenship Amendment Bill passed in the Rajya Sabha yesterday. Thousands of Pak-displaced people in the state have been fighting for citizenship for the last many years.
Hindu Singh Sodha of Simanat Lok Sangathan, who has been fighting for citizenship for the Pakistani displaced for the last 25 years, said that this is a moment of happiness and it will benefit more than 25 thousand people who have come to India in the last 19 years.
