Noida: Ramagya School, Noida, turned its campus into a vibrant display of student creativity with ‘Artistic Odyssey’26. The exhibition brought together artworks by students from different classes all centred around the theme ‘From Self to Society.’
Art has always been a way for young minds to observe, question and express themselves. The exhibition presented this idea in a meaningful way. Students displayed their work in different forms across diverse themes. From personal experiences to social themes, the exhibition showcased how their understanding changes as they grow, moving from early observations to a more mature way of thinking in higher grades.
Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Utkarsh Gupta, Managing Director, Ramagya Group said, “Art allows students to express what they observe and feel in their own way. When they use their own experiences to explore ideas and connect them with larger social issues, it makes them think more and become more aware. At Ramagya, we believe art is an integral part of learning. It is not just a subject but a way to understand the world better.”
The exhibition was designed as a progression, beginning with the self and moving outwards. Students from Grades III to V explored themes such as body, family, food, memory and nature. Moving into middle school, the focus of the artworks shifted towards community, culture, mental well-being, materials as well as the environment.
For the senior grades, the artworks took on even deeper themes. Grade IX students were introduced to ideas around the human condition, history and social reality through visual storytelling. Grade X students worked on identity, memory, sculpture and the relationship between humans and nature, taking a more mature and conceptual approach.
Pottery was also part of the exhibition for students from Grades VI to X. It was visible how students progressed from basic skills to an understanding of cultural forms, and further towards more concept-based work. The exhibition was also about giving the public a look into how Ramagya School has been instilling the importance of experiential and interdisciplinary learning.
This approach also followed the National Education Policy’s focus on experiential and holistic learning. The students were encouraged to make connections between subjects and to express themselves.
The exhibition was not only about showcasing art pieces but it was also about interacting with the students, teachers and people in general. With Artistic Odyssey’26, Ramagya School once again emphasized the importance of creative learning.
