Haflong : Smt Ranu Langthasa of BJP has been elected unopposed as the new Chairperson of the 12th N C Hills 
Autonomous Council in a chaired by Deputy Commissioner i/c Dima Hasao Vikram Dev Sarma held here today.
The today’s session was attended by as many as 24 newly elected members while 4 members were absent.
Members like S T Jem Hrangkhol, Samuel Changsan, Ngamrothang Hmar and Debolal Gorlosa congratulated Smt Langthasa on being elected as the Chairperson for the 2nd term.
Mention may be made here that Smt Langthasa was the Chairperson for two and half year of the BJP led 11th NCHAC.
Members present in the session also felicitated her with traditional ‘ Risa’.
