Routine Delivery Turns into a Heartwarming Surprise: Pune Customer Tips Swiggy Woman Delivery Partner Rs 1,000

A Swiggy women delivery partner in Pune was left surprised and proud, after a customer gave her a Rs 1,000 tip to encourage her to continue with her work.

Teena Choudhary, who has been delivering with Swiggy for close to a year, was on her routine delivery run in the city. During one delivery during the monsoon season, a customer surprised her with a generous tip, inspired to see that Teena not only completed the delivery on time despite the downpour in Pune, but that she was also accompanied by her 3-year-old daughter. Moved by her dedication under challenging circumstances, the customer gave her the generous tip to further encourage her in her journey.

Teena was introduced to Swiggy by her husband, who has been working as a Swiggy delivery partner for over half a decade now. Talking about her experience as a delivery partner with Swiggy, Teena shared, “I was working elsewhere, then I had to leave my job when I got pregnant. I couldn’t work a regular job with a baby, so I joined Swiggy. Here, I am not answerable to anyone, and I can take my child along if I need to. I am also able to spend time with her while working.”

Teena also recounts how she has been told several times by customers, when they see her with her daughter, how inspiring her story is.

Despite being one of the few women delivery partners in the city, she feels empowered- “I do not hesitate to share if I feel any concerns. Until now, I have received complete support and respect from restaurant partners, the Swiggy team, as well as fellow delivery partners.”

For Teena, working as a delivery partner has been a life changer.  “There is hard work, but there are also rewards,” she concludes.
