New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Railways Government of India showcased its landmark railway and other infrastructure projects, technological capabilities and diverse project portfolio at INNOPROM. India 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from September 9 to 11, 2026.
Held for the first time in India, INNOPROM. India 2026 served as an international industrial trade fair and business platform focused on promoting India–Russia trade, industrial cooperation, technology partnerships and investment.
A major highlight of the three-day exhibition was the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and President of the Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Putin to the RVNL stall. Shri Saleem Ahmad, CMD, RVNL welcomed the dignitaries at the stall. It was a proud moment for RVNL.
The RVNL stall showcased, among others, a model showcasing the Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets, being manufactured in collaboration with a Russian partner. Vande Bharat sleeper train is India’s indigenous and modern trainset and RVNL, together with the Russian company TMH, has formed KINET for manufacturing these trainsets. This project brings together Indian manufacturing capability and Russian technological expertise and is a fine example of the strong technological partnership between our two
Another major attraction was the model of a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) being deployed for the construction of tunnels on the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag Rail Link Project, one of the country’s significant railway infrastructure projects in the challenging Himalayan terrain.
A model of the New Pamban railway sea Bridge, India’s first Vertical Lift Bridge, highlighted RVNL’s work in advanced railway infrastructure and engineering which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India last year.
The BharatNet project in Uttar Pradesh, being executed by RVNL, was also showcased through dedicated displays and a video presentation.
The RVNL stall presented the organisation’s flagship projects and capabilities through informative panels, brochures, scale models and audio-visual presentations.
RVNL’s corporate film highlighting its major projects and activities were screened throughout the exhibition, offering visitors an overview of the organisation’s diverse portfolio and project execution capabilities. Information on RVNL and its major projects was also made available through brochures at the stall.
The RVNL stall received an encouraging response throughout the three-day event, with visitors showing keen interest in the projects, technologies and activities on display. Visitors also recorded their remarks, feedback and suggestions in the visitors’ book at the stall.
Senior management of RVNL, including Shri M. P. Singh, Director (Operations), and Shri Amit Tandon, Director (Projects) were among those who visited the stall. Several Government senior government officials also visited RVNL stall. Shri Sanjeev Sharma, GGM (Corporate Coordination), RVNL, played a key role in coordinating, planning and setting up of RVNL’s stall at the exhibition.
The three-day exhibition brought together industry leaders, policymakers, technology companies, buyers and suppliers across sectors including engineering, metallurgy, materials, digital technologies, chemicals and extractive industries.
The event was organised jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, with Formika Event as the event operator.
