Sanskriti University celebrates National Science Day

New Delhi: Sanskriti University celebrated National Science Day to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicist CV Raman. The University conducted a seminar on the theme of – Role of Science in daily life. The day started with immense pride when Chancellor, Sachin Gupta paid tributes to CV Raman. The event was held at the campus through different programs organized which included science exhibitions, laboratory visits, and various competitions as a part of the science day celebrations.

While delivering the inaugural session, Chancellor of Sanskriti University, Sachin Gupta said, “National Science Day reminds us of the innovation of science and technology every day. The day is celebrated to encourage youth to understand the aspects of science and develop interest in it.

The goal is to explain the importance of science among people.”

Awards and certificates were distributed to the winners and all other participants by the dignitaries. Students have showcased their talents in the exhibitions with different types of models and creativity. Dr. Rakesh Premi, Pro-VC  proposed the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to everyone, and appreciated all the participants.

National Science day is celebrated to mark the invention of the Raman Effect. Raman Effect is a spectroscopy phenomenon discovered by CV Raman when he was working in the Laboratory of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata. The program organized at the campus was attended by HoDs and faculty members from various departments and students from different streams. The university surges ahead as a revolutionary institute in research and developments and intends to disseminate scientific temper among the students to make phenomenal contributions to the world of science.
