Scooty distribution process launched in Assam

Mangaldai : Sidhartha Bhattacharya, State Minister for Law and Guwahati Development as the chief guest ceremonially distributed keys of scooties to five meritorious girls students here on Sunday to mark the beginning of processing of scooty distribution to a total of nine hundred and eight  girl students of Darrang district who had passed the last HS final examination in the first division. In this connection a public scooter distribution ceremony was held in district library auditorium under the aegis of the district administration. Addressing the students minister Bhattacharya termed the HS examination as the most important examination to set a goal for future career of a student. He hoped that the award would not only help the meritorious girl students to pursue their higher education saving time and energy, it would also inspire the younger students to do better in the HS examination in future. Earlier speaking on the occasion Mangaldai Loksabha MP Dilip Saikia pointed out that PM Modi led BJP at the center and the BJP led state government both are giving much importance in women empowerment and this scheme is one of its examples . MP Saikia also warned the beneficiary students and their guardians never to sell off their scooties. On the other hand Mangaldai Legislator Gurujyoti Das appealed to the beneficiaries to obtain a license, drive carefully wearing and obey traffic rules while Sipajhar Legislator Binanda Kumar Saikia gave a brief account on the scholastic virtues of Dr Banikanta Kakati. In the beginning Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah delivered his welcome speech.
