Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) government today ceremonially distributed service regularization letters to total 302 re-instated teachers of Lower Primary (LP) and Middle English (ME) Schools appointed in the year 1999 in BTR at a ceremonial programme held at Kokrajhar Commerce College in Kokrajhar.
Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro attended the program as chief guest and handed over the appointment letters to total 302 individuals.
The teachers includes 199 in Assamese medium and 103 in Bodo medium appointment in 1999 in the then undivided Nalbari district, now in Baksa district under BTR.
BTC Assembly Speaker Katiram Boro, MLAs- Lawrence Islary, Jolen Daimary, BTR executive members- Ghanashyam Das, Rakesh Boro, Reoreoa Narzihary, Arup Kumar Dey, political adviser to BTR CEM Berao K Karjee, MCLAs were among those present.
Speaking on the occasion, BTR Chief executive member Pramod Boro urged the teaching fraternities to be dedicated and punctual while discharging their duty and responsibilities.
