0 14

Bengaluru: Shiro and Yoichi by Shiro are marking World Cocktail Day with a spotlight on Japanese-inspired mixology, bringing together premium spirits, sake-forward creations and ingredient-led cocktails across their bar programmes. The menus reflect a balance of traditional Japanese influences and contemporary drinking culture, offering distinct experiences across both brands.

At Yoichi by Shiro, the focus is on approachable and playful cocktails, with signature drinks such as the Yume No Nami, a tropical blend of passion fruit, coconut and sake, and the Ginger Nashi Sour, which pairs sake with pear and amaretto. The restaurant also spotlights its curated sake selection, featuring labels such as the Hakutsuru Excellent Junmai and Hakutsuru Dai Ginjo, offering guests a more traditional introduction to Japanese rice wines alongside contemporary cocktail creations.

Shiro’s cocktail programme takes a more refined approach through its “Emperor’s Choice” selection, highlighting artisanal infusions and layered flavours. Cocktails such as the Demerara Fig Mojito and Velvet Kimono focus on balance and complexity, while the overall menu continues to explore Japanese craft spirits including Roku Gin, Haku Vodka and Toki Whisky through contemporary interpretations. The restaurant also introduces its “Way of the Yakuza” shot series, featuring bold creations like the Jack’s Honey Brew, combining whiskey with a touch of espresso for a sharper finish.
