In the past, themes have included Chandrayaan, Viksit Bharat 2047, Plastic-Free, and Clean India. This year’s special theme was “Operation Sindoor” and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree for Every Mother), showcasing India’s indigenous defense capabilities. Models of Akash and Agni missiles, as well as the Tejas fighter jet was among the key highlights.’
A unique feature of this Mahotsav is the eco-conscious visarjan. Instead of immersing Ganesh idols in the Yamuna, thousands of idols are immersed in a specially constructed water tank within the pandal, in the presence of lakhs of devotees. The water is then reused for plantation drives. This initiative not only helps protect the Yamuna but also reduces road congestion and ensures smooth emergency services. “We believe serving nature is serving the Almighty.”
