This festive season, Sony SAB artists Karuna Pandey, Vivana Singh, Muskaan Bamne, Jiten Lalwani and Toral Rasputra reflect on the lessons from Krishna that have stayed with them — and how they apply those insights both on-screen and in their personal lives.
Karuna Pandey (playing Pushpa in Pushpa Impossible)
“This Janmashtami is extra special for me, as it coincides with my birthday, deepening my sense of connection. One teaching of Shri Krishna that I truly embrace is ‘Karm kar aur phal ki ichha mat kar.’ We often hear that line, but its meaning runs deeper — you can only control your actions, not the outcome. So I focus on doing my part sincerely, without attaching myself to results. Letting go of expectations makes life much lighter.”

“What I connect with most in Lord Krishna’s teachings is the courage to stand by what you believe is right, even amid complex circumstances. “I deeply respect the Bhagavad Gita and often turn to its lessons in my daily life. The one I return to is finding steadiness amid both success and failure. Praise or criticism can easily define us if we let them, but real balance comes from not allowing either to consume you. As an actor, some scenes soar, others fall short — I try to approach both with humility, learn from them, and keep growing.”
