Student Induction Programme for the First time Virtually at Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata

Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata organized its Student Induction Programme for its New Batch of B.Tech and M.Tech students today i.e. 11th November 2020 virtually through Zoom Platform. The programme was addressed by Swami Atmapriyanandaji Maharaj, Pro Chancellor, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute as the Chief Guest followed by Prof. (Dr.) S.P.Singh, Vice Chancellor, The Assam Royal Global University as the Guest of Honour. The programme also witnessed the presence and address of Shri P.R.Agarwala, Chairman, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. During the inaugural address, Prof. (Dr.) S.P.Singh spoke about the basic values a student should inculcate during this 4 years. He stressed on the values like respect for parents, social and spiritual quotient, purity, positivity and many more which are very much necessary for a student to succeed in life.”‘Failure, positivity and hard work leads to success & happiness” said Prof. (Dr.) Singh during his address at Heritage Institute of Technology.

Swami Atmapriyanadaji Maharaj during his inaugural address spoke about simplicity, positive thoughts, respect for yourself and many more which are the essential qualities every student should imbibe within themselves for a better successful life. He advised the students not to degrade themselves in their lives and also they should learn from their own and stand up on their own legs ready to take responsibilities and stay away from criticisms and blaming others.

The programme also witnessed the address of Shri Probir Roy, Director, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Dr. Pranay Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology, Dr. Sujit Kumar Barua, Registrar, Heritage Institute of Technology and other key officials of the Institute. The induction programme will continue till 13th November, 2020 where various interactive sessions have been arranged for the students with experts as well as alumni members.

Moreover today the students also listened to the interaction with Ms. Chandrabali Dutta, an alumnus of Heritage Institute of Technology who is currently working as a Quality Assurance Manager at Jener Institute, University of Oxford on Covid-19 vaccine and Dr. Chiranjit Mukherjee, an alumnus, who is currently working at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as Postdoctoral Researcher actively engaged in NASA MARS Mission 2020.
