Bhopal: The state government has increased the age limit in the appointment of Class IV category in the establishment of ministers from 18 to 60 years. Earlier, the age limit for appointment was 18 to 40 years.
In the above context, it has been clarified by the General Administration Department that there has been no change in the superannuation age of government servants of any category. The superannuation age will be 62 years.
According to the previous provision of the Madhya Pradesh Secretariat (Class IV) Service Recruitment Rules 1987, the appointment of the class IV will be done in the ministers’ establishment as per the wish of the ministers. The duration of period will be limited to the term of the minister or termination of his/her service. The prescribed terms and conditions regarding age limit and educational qualification will also be applicable in this. As per the circular of M.P. General Administration department dated July 4, 2019 the age limit for appointment of class IV category in minister’s establishment was 18 to 40 years, which has been increased to 18 to 60 years by the current notification of 29 October 2020.
