Swinburne University of Technology Opens Applications for Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology
India : Swinburne University of Technology is now accepting applications for its Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology program, for 2027 intake. The three-year degree is designed to give students a strong foundation in ICT while allowing them to develop specialised knowledge in areas aligned with their career interests.
Through the program, students gain exposure to areas such as web and app development, programming, network administration, data management and software development. They can further tailor their studies by choosing from three majors: Information Technology, Network Technology and Software Technology.
A strong emphasis is placed on applying classroom learning to practical situations. As part of Swinburne’s Work Integrated Learning approach, students undertake industry-linked projects throughout the course, giving them the opportunity to work on practical ICT challenges. Students can also opt for six- or 12-month professional placements to gain experience in a workplace setting.
Course Delivery:
The Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology is offered over three years of full-time study, or the equivalent part-time duration, at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus. The program comprises core units, major units and electives, enabling students to develop broad ICT capabilities while building expertise in their chosen area.
Students complete six professionally focused, industry-linked projects as part of the degree. The course also provides the option of undertaking a six- or 12-month professional placement, allowing students to gain industry experience before graduation. The program is professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society.
Entry Requirements: Applicants must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent international qualification) and meet the university’s admission requirements.

English Language Requirements: Students will need an IELTS overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band below 6.0, or an equivalent recognised English language qualification.
