In Tamil Nadu, the uncertainty over formation of government under TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay continues. The new twist came as IUML has rejected the reports of its support to TVK to form the governmemt.
In another development, reports are also coming that the swearing in ceremony which was to take place tomorrow will not be held. Earlier, TVK had claimed that the Actor-turned politican is all set to form the Government as he again met the governor today and staked claim to form the government saying that he has majority numbers.
Meanwhile, the Indian Union Muslim League, headed by Prof. Khader Mohideen has said that his party has not given a letter of support to Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam. In a press release, the Party said that it supports the formation of a new Government as DMK Chief MK. Stalin desired that the Governor should take steps to facilitate the swearing in of a new Government.
Earlier, TVK’s senior leaders had approached IUML twice for support. It means that TVK needs a letter of support from VCK which said that it will be presented tomorrow. In the meantime, one of the VCK MLA Vanni Arasu has tweeted that the party will also take part in the Government.
In another surprise move, meanwhile AMMK Party leader TTV Dhinakaran approached the Governor and submitted a letter of support from S.Kamaraj, the lone MLA elected from Mannarkudi to make Edappadi Palanisamy, AIADMK General Secretray as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
