Mangaldai : Bringing an end to the alleged harassment in the name of issuing pension papers to the retired teachers, the Darrang District Elementary Education department has started a noble practice of handing over the relevant pension papers to the retired teachers on the day of retirement itself. As a part of this initiative Dr Jowahira Tabassom, District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) on Wednesday ceremonially handed over pension papers to altogether three teachers namely Barun Chandra Boro of Kholihoi Anchalik ME (ST) School, Ibrahim Ali of Balogarha LP School and Mahibul Haque of Kulshik Rajghat LP School. In this connection a function was organised at the premises of Tengabari LP School on Wednesday where all the three Block Education Officers, other senior officials of the district elementary education department and the office bearers of teacher’s body were present. In her speech DEEO, Dr Tabassom has assured the teachers of receiving the pension papers on the day of their retirement unless the relevant records of their services are correct. On the other hand the three retired teachers expressed their gratitude to the authority for their commitment towards them.
