In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, one terrorist has been gunned down in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Gusoo area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district this morning.
According to the police, a joint team of Pulwama Police and Army’s 53 RR laid a Cordon-and-Search-Operation in Gusso village.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering an encounter that resulted in the killing of one terrorist. The identity of the slain terrorist is being ascertained. The operation was going on when the reports last came in.
