In 2020, Siddharth Dubey and Nishant Kumar Singh, then 18-year-old school friends, embarked on a long drive to Bargi, near Jabalpur, celebrating their 12th farewell with classmates. The excitement of the trip took an unexpected turn when their vehicle broke down in the middle of nowhere. Stranded without immediate help, they struggled to find a trusted mechanic or any reliable service nearby.
That moment of helplessness ignited a spark of innovation. They realized that millions of vehicle owners across India face similar challenges, often without access to dependable service options. This experience planted the seed of what would later become Mech Buddy, a platform built to ensure that no one else has to go through such uncertainty when their vehicle needs assistance.
Despite starting with zero financial backing and no industry connections, Siddharth and Nishant spent years researching the market, engaging directly with mechanics and customers to identify key pain points.
