The Department of Chemistry at The Heritage College successfully organised a one-day symposium on “Computational Insights for Undergraduate Laboratories: Empowering Educators and Students in Physical Chemistry” on 8 May 2026 in collaboration with the UG BOS Chemistry, University of Calcutta.
The symposium brought together academicians, educators, and students to explore the growing role of computational approaches in undergraduate chemistry education. The event served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, highlighting innovative methods to make physical chemistry more interactive, analytical, and application-oriented for learners.
The symposium featured insightful sessions by distinguished speakers including Dr. Partha Biswas, Dr. Ankan Sanyal, Dr. Priyatosh Dutta, and Dr. Suchandra Biswas, who shared their expertise on computational tools, laboratory simulations, and modern pedagogical techniques in physical chemistry.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students across institutions, reflecting the increasing interest in integrating computational learning with traditional laboratory education.
Through this symposium, The Heritage College reaffirmed its commitment to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning experiences for the scientific community.
