Kolkata: The Heritage School, Kolkata, celebrated 77th Independence Day with pride and vigour. The day started with flag hoisting ceremony at the School campus which was attended by Shri Vikram Swarup, Chairman, School Managing Committee, The Heritage School Kolkata, Shri Raj Keriwal, Trustee, Kalyan Bharti Trust, as the Chief Guest, Ms. Satovisa Banerjee, Commander, Air India and also an alumnus of The Heritage School Kolkata as the Guest of Honour, Shri Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, Shri Probir Roy, Director, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Senior Director- Education, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Dr. S. K. Sinha, Director, BRCM Group of Institutions, Bahal, and Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School, Kolkata.
The ceremony was followed by a cultural dance performance by the school students guided by their teachers. In the afternoon, Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata witnessed the celebration of 77th Independence Day in the college campus which also had various cultural performances organized by the B.Tech students of the Institute.
Moreover on the same day, a group of students from the School performed the Independence Day parade at Red Road organized by the West Bengal Government.
