This July, audiences at The Piano Man are invited to embark on a captivating musical journey that bridges continents, traditions, and generations. Afro Anatolian Tales, the musical laboratory of Dutch Turkish percussionist Sjahin During, presents Silk Road Dialogues, an immersive performance that brings together ancient musical traditions and contemporary sonic exploration. The ensemble creates a vibrant meeting point between East and West, weaving together influences from Anatolia, Persia, India, and Europe into a rich tapestry of sound.
The group features an exceptional lineup of international musicians including Burak Savaş on vocals and violin, Bence Huszar on cello and electronics, Antonio Moreno on synthesizer and trumpet, and Sjahin During on percussion. Joining them for the India tour is acclaimed Mumbai based vocalist and sarangi player Vanraj Shastri, whose deep roots in Indian classical music add a unique dimension to the ensemble’s intercultural dialogue.
At the heart of Silk Road Dialogues lies a conversation between musical worlds.
