This September, The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, marks the season of wellness with the launch of its Ayurvedic Wellness Experience, a curated journey rooted in ancient science, personalised care, and mindful dining, with one intention at its centre: restoring balance from within.

The experience is part of The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore’s growing focus on holistic well-being, bringing together thoughtfully curated approaches to caring for the mind and body. It begins with a one-on-one consultation led by Dr Ranjita, Certified Ayurvedic Physician and Director of The Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Through a detailed assessment of each guest’s Prakriti, their unique constitution defined by the interplay of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha energies, Chef Saurabh Tyagi, a trained Ayurvedic chef, works in close collaboration with Dr Ranjita to curate a bespoke menu tailored to that individual’s dosha. Grounded in Ritucharya, the Ayurvedic principle of seasonal eating, each menu adjusts its ingredients, cooking techniques, and spice profiles to what the body requires at this time of year.

Each dosha calls for a different table. A Vata guest is served warmth and grounding Saffron Paneer Tikka and Millet Porridge finished with ghee. A Pitta guest receives something cooler and gentler: Palak Paneer and Kuttu Ki Roti. For Kapha, the kitchen goes lighter and more stimulating, ending the meal with marinated grilled fruit with mint and lime. The food, in every case, is medicine dressed as hospitality.

The experience concludes with a sound healing session led by Subigya Sigdel, wellness expert and yoga instructor at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore. Subigya’s is not a conventional wellness story. Once confined to a wheelchair, he rebuilt his life from the ground up through Ayurveda, yoga, and a quality of determination that is, in itself, a form of practice. Today, he treks, teaches, and leads transformative sound healing sessions, bringing to every guest the lived conviction that the body is capable of far more than circumstance suggests. His presence within the programme gives the experience a dimension no curriculum can manufacture: the authority of someone who has walked the path.

Commenting on the launch, Reuben Kataria, General Manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, said, “Wellness, for us, has never been a trend; it is a deeply held value that shapes how we think about every guest experience. This Ayurvedic Wellness Experience is our most holistic expression of that belief yet. By bringing together the precision of Ayurvedic science, the intentionality of mindful dining, and the transformative power of sound healing, we are creating a space where our guests can truly arrive at stillness. In a city that moves as fast as Bangalore does, we believe that the ability to pause and restore is one of the most meaningful things we can offer.”
