There should be no shortcoming in training – Dr. Mishra

Bhopal :  On the occasion of International Animal Welfare Day, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra made a surprise visit to the State Dog Police Training School (Dog Squad) and inquired about the training. Dr. Mishra said that 6 indigenous breed dogs are being trained in the state under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. He expressed happiness that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also mentioned this in the programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

During the visit, Dr. Mishra directed the officials of the Dog Squad Training School that there should be no shortcoming in the training. All essential resources will be made excellent for training. DSP State Dog Training School Anita Prabha Sharma informed that at present, dogs of 6 indigenous breeds like Sudhil Hound, Rampur Hound, Rajapalayam, Kanni, Komboi and Chippiparai are being trained for the first time. Trained dogs in Bhopal are playing a vital role in Narcotics and VIP protection.

Batalian 23rd Commandant Shri Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi informed that Dog Squad Training Centre is working constantly since 1959 in the state. Dogs trained from the training school have won 12 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals in All India Police Duty Meet. Training sessions are organized from time to time in Bhopal.
