Today, a ticket-checking special drive was conducted between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kottayam stations by a special team led by Shri S.M Sharma Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Thiruvananthapuram Division. The objective of this special drive was to prevent ticketless travel. A total of Eighty-Nine cases of ticketless travel were detected during this operation, amounting to a sum of Rs. 30,160 in fines collected.
