In Jammu & Kashmir, train service from Srinagar to Qazigund in South Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region will resume tomorrow after remaining suspended since August 5 when the Centre revoked J&K’s special status and bifurcated the State into two Union Territories.
The Northern Railway authorities today conducted a successful trial run of trains on both sides of the track. A Senior Railway Official told AIR Srinagar that there will be one more trial run from Srinagar to Banihal Junction and only one pair of trains will run from Srinagar to Banihal and vice versa tomorrow.
Train services on Srinagar-Baramulla section in north Kashmir resumed on November 12.
