A major achievement for infrastructure development, Southern Railway has scheduled commissioning of 32.86 Kms. double line between Tulukapati and Kovilpatti stations in Madurai Jn. – Tirunelveli Jn. section. Due to this, the following changes in pattern of train services are notified for the information of travelling public.
FULL CANCELLATION
1. Train No. 22627 Tiruchchirappalli Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Intercity Daily Superfast will be fully cancelled on 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March, 01st and 02nd April 2022(8 services).
2. Train No. 22628 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Tiruchchirappalli Junction Intercity Daily Superfast will be fullycancelled on 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March, 01st and 02nd April 2022(8 services).
3. Train No. 16861 Puducherry – Kanniyakumari Weekly Express will be fully cancelled on 27th March, 2022.
4. Train No. 16862 Kanniyakumari – Puducherry Weekly Express will be fully cancelled on 28th March, 2022.
PARTIAL CANCELLATION
1. Train No. 16191 Tambaram – Nagercoil Jn Antyodaya Express leaving Tambaram on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March and 01st April 2022 will be short terminated at Virudunagar Jn. On these eight days the train will be partially cancelled between Virudunagar Jn. and Nagercoil Jn.
2. Train No. 16192 Nagercoil Jn – Tambaram Antyodaya Express will commence service from Virudunagar Jn. instead of Nagercoil Jn. on 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th March & 02nd April 2022 and run from Madurai Jn. to Tambaram on 31st March and 01st April 2022. The train will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn. and Virudunagar Jn. six days and partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn. and Madurai Jn. for two days.
3. Train No. 16321 Nagercoil Jn – Coimbatore Jn Express will commence service from Madurai Jn. instead of Nagercoil Jn. 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March 01st and 02nd April 2022 On these eight days the train will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil Jn. and Madurai Jn.
4. Train No. 16322 Coimbatore Jn – Nagercoil Jn Express leaving Coimbatore Jn. on 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March, 01st and 02nd April 2022 will be short terminated at Madurai Jn. On these eight days the train will be partially cancelled between Madurai Jn and Nagercoil Jn.
5. Train No. 16128 Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore Express leaving Guruvayur on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st March 2022 will be short terminated at Tirunelveli Jn. On these seven days the train will not operate between Tirunelveli Jn. and Chennai Egmore.
6. Train No. 16127 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur Express will commence service from Tirunelveli Jn. instead of Chennai Egmore on 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March & 01st April 2022. On these seven days the train will not operate between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli.
7. Train No. 16730 Punalur – Madurai Jn Express leaving Punalur on 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March, 01st April 2022 will be short terminated at Tirunelveli Jn. On these six days the train will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli Jn and Madurai Jn.
8. Train No.16729 Madurai Jn – Punalur Express scheduled to leave Madurai Jn. at 23.25 hrs. daily, will be partially cancelled between Madurai Jn. and Tirunelveli Jn. on 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st March & 01st, 02nd April 2022. The train will commence service from Tirunelveli Jn. towards Punalur as per schedule (at 02.45 hrs.) on 29th, 30th, 31st March, 01st, 02nd, 03rd April 2022.
DIVERSION
1. Train No. 16128 Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore Daily Express leaving Guruvayur on 01st April, 2022 will be diverted between Tirunelveli Jn. and Virudunagar Jn. to run via Tenkasi Jn. The train will skip its scheduled stoppages at Vanchi Maniyachchi Jn., Kovilpatti and Satur.
