Kokrajhar: A Training cum workshop on Atal Pension Yojana scheme was organised by Superintendent of Post Office, Goalpara division for the postal department employees working in Kokrajhar district in Kokrajhar today.
Superintendent of Post Offices, Goalpara Division, Debraj Sethi, Assistant of Post Office Kokrajhar (headquarter) Giri Kanta Deka, Assistant Superintendent of Post Office Kokrajhar Division Pallab Hazarika, Inspector of Post Office, Kokrajhar KL Macha attended as resource persons and speak about the Atal Pension Yojana Scheme.
Superintendent of Post Offices, Goalpara Division, Debraj Sethi said the training cum workshop aims to make the eligible citizen in the age group of 18 to 40 years aware of the provision of the scheme through which one can secure a fixed amount of pension ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 per month by saving a meagre premium and enrolling themselves under Atal Pension Yojana in any post office/branch post office.
He appealed to the eligible citizens to get themselves covered under the scheme to secure a fixed pension after the age of 60 years along with other benefits provided under the Atal Pension Scheme.
Atal Pension Yojana aims to help unorganised sector workers save money for their old age while they are working and guarantees returns post retirement. Atal Pension Yojana is a periodic contribution based pension plan and promises a fixed pension of Rs 1000/ Rs 2000/ Rs 3000/ Rs 4000 or Rs 5000.
