Kokrajhar: Two suspected drugs peddlers have been apprehended from Chapaguri area in Chirang district on Sunday.
According to police, an operation was conducted by Chirang Police led by Addl. SP(HQ), Chirang in Chapaguri area and apprehended two suspected drugs peddlers. The arrested persons were identified as Liton Alhadi (32 years), of Bonghugi under Kalgachia in Barpeta district and Arifuddin Ahmed (32 years), of Chedamari under Jogighopa police station in Bongaigaon.
Total 05 (five) plastic packets containing suspected psychotropic tablets (total-780 tablets with broken particles of tablets) , Cash Rs.-1471/, two mobile handsets, one motor cycle ( Hero Honda Splendor) bearing regd. no.- AS19 G 6180 have been recovered from them
