In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Ranbirgarh near Panzinara area in the outskirts of Srinagar city.
According to police, a joint team of J&K police, Army’s 29 RR and Central Reserve Police Force laid a Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) in the area based on an intelligence input. As the team approached towards the suspected spot, the terrorists fired upon them. The security forces retaliated resulting in the killing of two terrorists. Talking to AIR News Jammu & Kashmir police DGP Dilbag Singh said, the identity of the slain terrorists is being ascertained.
