Ukrainian War: PM Modi speaks with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, to speak with Russian President Putin today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today sought continued support from Ukrainian government in ongoing efforts for the evacuation of Indian nationals from Sumy. Mr Modi aso thanked Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the help extended by the Ukraine government in evacuation of Indian nationals.

New Delhi: Prime minister spoke on the phone with Mr Zelenskyy for over 35 minutes. Both the leaders discussed the evolving situation in Ukraine. Government sources said,  the Prime Ministe also appreciated the continuing direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine.

Modi will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on phone today. 

Last week also Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with Mr  Putin and the two leaders discussed the safe evacuation of the Indian nationals from the conflict areas.
