UP CM stresses need for effective management of door to door survey

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stressed the need for effective management of door to door survey, contact tracing and increasing medical testing for Corona in the state.

After 6,193 new cases yesterday, the number of Covid 19 cases in the state has reached 2 lakh 53 thousand 175. The active cases stood at 58 thousand 595. So far, one lakh 90 thousand 818 people have recovered, while 3 thousand 762 lost their lives due to Covid-19.

Coronavirus spike in capital  Lucknow  continues unabated even after several directives and steps initiated by the state health department. Yesterday a total of 924 fresh cases were reported in Lucknow alone and the total number of positive cases  has gone up to 30,496, highest in the state. The  district also witnessed 10 casualties yesterday and the total Covid 19 deaths rose to 402 with  7,972  active patients still in hospitals or home isolation.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has  directed special attention and sent an expert- team  to  Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi districts where cases of Corona infection are at high.

After Lucknow comes the name of Kanpur, where 382 fresh cases were reported along with 10 deaths yesterday with total Covid cases going up to 16,291 and casualties to 466, highest in the state. There are presently 3681 active cases in the district.

Prayagraj also witnessed a spike of 320 fresh cases and 5 deaths , with total cases reaching 10,877 and casualties to 176. There are 3322 active cases in the district .

In Varanasi, there were 203 fresh cases and 3 deaths. The total case was 9022 with 176 deaths while the active cases were 2033.
