UP govt presents biggest ever budget of Rs 5,50,270 Cr

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government today presented the biggest ever budget of the state, which was to the tune of around 5 lakh 50 thousand 270 lakh crores rupees.

The first paperless budget presented by state finance minister Suresh Khanna today in the state assembly was also the first paperless budget of any state in the country. AIR correspondent reports that while presenting the budget state finance minister Suresh Khanna said that this budget is for the holistic and inclusive development of all sections of the society with the moto of Atmnirbhar Uttar Pradesh.

State Finance minister Suresh Khanna said that the budget of the government is focused on four sectors infrastructure development, public health, human resource development and agriculture primarily. Fiscal deficit of the state budget is 90721 crores rupees.

Around 27598 crores rupees have been allocated for the new schemes and projects launched by state government in this budget.

Atmnirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojna has been launched for the welfare of the farmers of state.

Yogi Adityanath government has also announced to provide financial help to destitute women under Mahila Samarthya Yojna till they get alimony from Court.

Mentioning the achievements of the state Government finance minister Suresh Khana said that in last year state government provided financial help to around 20 lakh workers during corona period and transported more than 40 lakh labourers to their destinations. He said that state government has helped farmers in all possible ways and paid one lakh 23 crores to the sugar cane farmers. Online payment of more than 11145 crores have been done to farmers under MSP for Paddy this season and more than 27110 crores were transferred under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi yojna. State created history with the paperless budget and All members of the State Legislature viewed the budget highlights on iPads. Prior to the Budget, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath today held the first e cabinet of the state also. All members of the cabinet were present with their tabs in the meeting which was held this morning before budget.
