Uttar Pradesh government will felicitate the top ten GST payers in each district and at the state level. Government has also decided to provide insurance of 10 lakh rupees to the registered GST payers in state and very soon there will be provision of pension for them.
state government has come up with unique steps to improve GST collection in the state and the idea is to achieve one lakh crore rupees of annual revenue collection. In a review meeting with commercial tax officers of state yesterday evening Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked them to launch an awareness programme for business community to educate them about the benefits of getting registered under GST and also the procedure to file the return.
Mr Yogi said that there is still need for more registrations of businessman in the state under GST and traders welfare board along with commercial tax department can launch the drive while will also improve tax collection. State’s Target of GST collection this financial year is around 77 thousand 6 hundred 40 crore rupees.
