As per the directions of Government of India, vaccination drive for Coronavirus disease began in India 10 days back. Vaccinationwas administered to the staff and other frontline workers at the Hospitals accross India.

All the frontline workers including heads of departments, senior doctors, nurses, support staff and sanitation workers have been vaccinated during the span but still there is a little hesitation was seen amongst the workers of the hospital but a little reassurance from the management and seniors helped them to come forth and get vaccinated. There are concerns about safety and authenticity. People are thus scared. There is also controversy regarding the guidelines. The Indian Medical Association (IMA), which is working jointly with the Government of India at various levels, believes that vaccines in India are the safest for protecting against Covid-19.

Keeping his views forth on the vaccine Dr. Shubhank Singh, Medanta Mediclinic Defence Colony, New Delhi said, “After seeing the pandemic for almost a year, Its very natural that people are hesitant towards trying something new. But Vaccination is something we have been following from years, we have already eliminated polio & small pox with vaccination so now its time we should come together to fight against the deadly disease of COVID 19 and make our country corona free.”

This hesitancy is being experienced in all parts of the country. The Government is trying to tackle it and medical professionals all across the country are coming foreword to assure the general masses that the vaccination is safe and people should only focus on facts and not believe the myths that are being spread regarding it. “People who are vaccinated that I know are feeling good after taking vaccine some of them have mild symptoms of nausea and body ache but it is quite usual to have and with symptomatic medications such as Pantocid, paracetamol it’s subsided. Nothing to worry about” added Dr. Singh.

As a committed healthcare professional we stand by our Government and scientists who have worked hard day and night to make the fastest vaccine in the history of Humankind.
