Ghaziabad: Wave City, the first operational Hi-tech City in North India, today successfully organized a grand tree plantation drive within its premises. The initiative was aimed to promote environmental conservation, enhance the city’s green cover, and combat rising pollution levels. Through this drive, Wave City has also extends its support to the government of Uttar Pradesh’s initiative of planting 35 Crore saplings across the state under massive tree plantation drive.
The ambitious tree plantation drive saw the active participation of residents and Wave City’s dedicated team, who came together to plant saplings. On the whole, a staggering total of 10,000 saplings will be planted across Wave City within this month. These saplings have been thoughtfully choosen to adorn a stretch of 60-62 meter of road at Wave City, further beautifying its landscape and creating a lush green environment.
Commenting on the plantation drive, CJ Singh, COO of Wave City, said, “One of the hallmarks of Wave City is our commitment to maintain green spaces, preserve the environment and foster green living. Our tree plantation drive is a small step towards a better future for our residents and the entire community. By fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, we aim to inspire other communities and set an example of how urban development can coexist harmoniously with nature.”
With approximately 1470 acres (35% of the total land area) dedicated to green areas and well-planned road infrastructure, Wave City has become a prime example of sustainable urban planning. This unique approach allows residents to enjoy the serenity of nature while staying connected to essential amenities and services. With an impressive 3.5 Lakhs of flora and open spaces, the township ensures a green equilibrium that helps tackle the ever-growing pollution levels, making Wave City an oasis of fresh air and natural beauty.
