Hyderabad: Welspun group, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, joined hands with PMR Hospitals to organize a Mega Health Camp in Pamena village of Chevella mandal. This aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the villagers. The Mega Health Camp was inaugurated by Mr. Malla Reddy, the Gram Panchayat Sarpanch, and witnessed the participation of esteemed medical professionals and community leaders.
A dedicated team of medical professionals from eight different departments, including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, and General Medicine, came together to offer their expertise and support to the beneficiaries. The services rendered by the medical team proved invaluable to the 198 villagers who sought medical assistance at the camp.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Aknapuram Malla Reddy, the Sarpanch of Pamena Village, acknowledged the commendable work of Welspun Foundation and PMR Hospitals in the field of grassroots healthcare. He stated, “We are privileged to have the support of such committed organizations that are dedicated to providing better healthcare to those in need, right at their doorsteps. They also provide vital information regarding health problems, empowering our community.”
During the Mega Health Camp, patients received free medications prescribed by the doctors. Additionally, 17 individuals were referred for further check-ups at the hospital or deemed eligible for necessary free surgeries. This proactive approach to addressing healthcare needs ensures that individuals receive the required attention and care for their medical conditions.
