Where Leadership Meets Legacy: NIT Sikkim Honours Shri Sajan Kumar Bansal with Honorary D.Litt
Kolkata: The Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata, proudly announces that Shri Sajan Kumar Bansal, Trustee and Treasurer of the Group, and CMD, Skipper Ltd. was conferred the prestigious Honorary Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim today, in recognition of his distinguished contribution to education, institution building, and societal development.
The honorary degree was awarded at a formal convocation ceremony held at NIT Sikkim, in the august presence of Shri Om Prakash Mathur, Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, and Prof. Mahesh Chandra Govil, Director, NIT Sikkim, lending special significance to the occasion.
The honour acknowledges Shri Bansal’s visionary stewardship, principled financial leadership, and unwavering commitment to building sustainable, student-centric academic institutions. As Trustee and Treasurer, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening governance, transparency, and long-term institutional resilience across the Heritage Group of Institutions, enabling academic innovation, infrastructure growth, and excellence in higher education.
