Bhopal: Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh has informed that all sections have participated with full enthusiasm in the “Swachch Pratishthan” survey campaign which started from 26th January on Republic Day in the state. By releasing the results of the campaign on Monday, 14 February, among the establishments located in the civic bodies, private and government offices, small and big shops, showrooms, hospitals, clinics, hotels, restaurants, schools etc. were honoured for their excellent performance. MPs, MLAs and public representatives distributed “Swachch Pratishthan” certificates in a dignified felicitation ceremony organised in urban bodies.
Minister Shri Singh has informed that a 15 Day “Swachch Pratishthan” survey campaign was conducted in 308 urban bodies of the state to make all the cities garbage free and to fulfill the target of getting 5-star to all municipal corporations and 3-star to other urban bodies in star rating of garbage free cities in the Swachch Survekshan-2022. In this, entries were received from 1827 hotels/restaurants, 1181 health establishments, 1823 schools, 767 hawkers zones, 1458 office establishments and 1159 market establishments. The main objective of the survey in this cleanliness competition was to encourage establishments for sanitation and waste management.
In the ceremony, the winning establishments were honoured with “Symbol of Cleanliness” award by the bodies. Apart from this, the selected establishments will also be nominated for state level awards after inspection by the state level team.
