Kokrajhar, Aug 2: The World Breast Feeding week was observed at Balajan PHC in Kokrajhar today.
As part of the program, awareness on the importance of observance of breast feeding week was held where the resource persons explained the importance of breast feeding, discuss on important of Breast Feeding and helpful of breast feeding.
Training was done to Pregnant women, Lactating mothers, ASHA and Anganwadi Workers on Breast Feeding.
Prize were also distributed to Healthy Baby and Pregnant Women based on medical checkup, consume of iron and folic-acid and other medical activities .
The programme was attended by Dr. Nabadeep Basumatary Medical Officer of Balajan CHC, CDPO of Kokrajhar Block of Social Welfare Department, SDM & HO of District Community Mobilizer of NHM Kokrajhar, Block Coordinator of Poshan Abhiyan Kokrajhar Block, Block Coordinator (RBSK) of Balajan Block PHC, ASHA of Balajan Sector, Anganwadi Workers of Balajan Sector and Pregnant Woman and Lactating Mother of Balajan Sector.
