Alappuzha : Xandari Resorts, in association with Muthoot Finance under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, distributed swimming kits to 25 students of St. Mary’s High School, Kainakary, Alappuzha, on Friday. The kits included swimming tights, goggles and caps. The initiative aimed to encourage children aged 10 to 15 years to learn swimming and understand the importance of water safety.
The programme supported students from Classes 5 to 10 and encouraged them to develop swimming skills, build confidence in the water and learn basic water-safety practices. Located in Kerala’s backwater region, Kainakary is closely connected to waterways. In such an environment, knowing how to swim and understanding water safety can be important life skills.
“We believe that learning to swim is an important life skill, especially for children growing up in a backwater region like Kainakary. Through this initiative, we hope to encourage students to learn swimming, build their confidence in the water and understand the importance of water safety.
