India : Under25, India’s leading youth network, hosted yet another successful Summit At Campus (SAC) at BNMIT, Bangalore, bringing 900 no of students together for an immersive on-campus cultural and edutainment experience. The highlight was creator-turned-actor Bhuvan Bam, who took the stage to interact with students, perform, and share insights from his journey.
At the SAC, Bhuvan spoke about his latest project, Dhindora S2 and reflected on his journey from a YouTube to larger entertainment platforms, and how every phase of a creator’s journey has its own time and opportunities. He shared how spontaneous ideas and improvisations often shape his work and encouraged students to trust their own creative instincts. While doing so, he acknowledged YouTube for giving him the platform, audience and opportunities that made his career. However, he also highlighted the importance of evolving, experimenting and exploring new formats as an artist. He encouraged students, “If you are a creator and call yourself an artist, you aren’t dependent on any single platform. Aap kahin bhi jaake bawaal macha sakte ho.”
One of the interesting moments was when Bhuvan said he dislikes referring to his audience as fans. “First of all, I hate this word – fans. These are all my friends.” He spoke about how celebrities and creators should be accessible to their audiences who consume their content, and how he makes an effort to interact with people whenever he meets them in public.
Talking about the SAC at BNMIT, Jeel Gandhi, CEO, Under25, said, “Today’s generation doesn’t want to be defined by any one conventional archetype. They want to explore multiple areas that interest them deeply and are very future-focused. Having someone as multifaceted as Bhuvan Bam, alongside creators like Sharanya, Harmanpreet, Abhinay, and Poorav, who cut across diverse creative fields like comedy, music or fitness, reflected this attitude perfectly. With them onstage, this SAC not only gave students a glimpse of the multiple paths and opportunities available out there but also the confidence to choose neither and create their own path because they have limitless potential to do so.”
Speaking about his presence at SAC, Bhuvan Bam said, “It feels amazing to be back at Under25’s Summit At Campus. I’m over 25 now but I miss this energy in my life. Young people have such zest to explore and go out there to whatever interests take hold over them. And organising events like the SAC gives them the opportunity to do so across arts and music, as well as entrepreneurship. That’s how I am where I am – it was only because I was encouraged to take part in extracurriculars like singing, that I am here today. I can’t wait to be back for another one!”
True to the SAC format and unlike typical college fests, the day blended conversation, performances and student-led segments that reflected youth culture and expression. The lineup also featured popular creators, Sharanya, Poodup, Harman and Abhinay.
SACs are licensed and entirely student-run through Under25’s nationwide fellowship network, giving students hands-on experience in programming, partnerships and leadership. With over 200 summits across 36 cities and more than 1.2 million students reached, the Bangalore edition adds to Under25’s work of trusting students to lead from the front and shape culture alongside voices like Bhuvan Bam and other artists.
