New Delhi: Ziptrrip, an innovative AI powered corporate travel and expense management platform, has announced the acquisition of HelloTravel Online Private Limited, the erstwhile travel marketplace business of a publicly listed firm that was demerged as an independent entity in 2018.
The acquisition marks Ziptrrip’s first buyout within three years of its operations, underlining both the pace at which the company has scaled and its intent to build depth beyond core corporate travel. The move expands its presence across business leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and experiential travel, segments that demand stronger supply networks and higher levels of execution.
In a relatively short span, Ziptrrip has established itself as a credible player in corporate travel, facilitating over 2 lakh trips across more than 650 corporates. The platform focuses on streamlining corporate travel through automation, policy led bookings and AI driven insights that help optimize cost and efficiency. With this buyout, the company extends its capabilities by building on HelloTravel’s long standing network of travel agents, destination management companies (DMCs) and strong follower community.
HelloTravel brings a legacy of over 18 years and has evolved into one of India’s largest marketplaces for travel agents, with more than 7,000 verified partners across destinations. The platform offers over 2 lakh experience led travel packages and has built a community of more than 1.5 million organic followers. Its deep network of travel agents and destination management companies provides Ziptrrip with immediate scale and reach in MICE, Business leisure and experiences.
The buyout is expected to unlock meaningful synergies, enabling Ziptrrip to build a more integrated and resilient supply network spanning travel agents, DMCs and hospitality partners. This, in turn, will enhance its ability to deliver flexible and customized solutions across corporate travel programs, business leisure and MICE, with greater control over execution.
At a broader level, the development strengthens the strategic positioning of Wayfarers Technologies, Ziptrrip’s parent company. With capabilities spanning travel management, expense management and now MICE, Business leisure and experiential travel through HelloTravel, the company is building a differentiated full stack platform in the corporate travel space. This integrated approach creates a strong foundation for sustained growth in India while also opening pathways for global expansion.
As part of the transaction, HelloTravel will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wayfarers Technologies Private Limited. While the founders will exit the business, the existing team will continue, ensuring continuity across operations and long standing partner relationships.
Commenting on the acquisition, Shan Prabhakaran, Co-founder & CEO, Ziptrrip, said, “HelloTravel brings deep partner relationships and destination expertise built over years, which allows us to expand meaningfully into MICE and Business leisure. Our focus will be on building on this foundation and working closely with partners to unlock new opportunities. Through this, Wayfarers aims to craft a powerful and differentiated thesis within the corporate travel landscape, shaping the future of how organizations approach business travel.”
Rishabh Agarwal, Co-founder & COO, Ziptrrip, added, “What stands out about HelloTravel is the strength and depth of its partner ecosystem. Combined with Ziptrrip’s AI led infrastructure and demand capabilities, it creates a strong platform to deliver more customized and high quality travel experiences, especially in segments like MICE where execution and reliability are critical.”
With a presence across more than 10,000 destinations and over 1 crore travelers served to date, HelloTravel has built a marketplace anchored in trust, scale and partner expertise. On this development, Pankaj Agarwal, Co-founder & CEO and Mohit Shrivastava, Co-founder & COO at HelloTravel, said, “HelloTravel has been built on the foundation of strong, long-standing relationships with travel partners and a deep understanding of evolving traveler needs. As we become part of Ziptrrip, we see a natural alignment in vision and capabilities. Their technology-led approach combined with our partner ecosystem creates a powerful opportunity to scale further, while continuing to deliver value to both partners and travelers.”
Going forward, Ziptrrip will focus on strengthening its platform and partner network, with an emphasis on deeper collaboration and operational efficiency. This positions the company to deliver high quality, customized travel experiences across MICE and Business leisure at scale.
