88 years old won battle against COVID 19

88 years old Sudhir Biswas of Bidhanpally in Assam Kokrajhar district won the battle against COVID 19. The octogenarian was released today from Kokrajhar Rupnath Brahma Civil Hospital COVID centre after 9 days stay in the hospital. He was tested COVID19 positive on August 3. Biswas was a diabetes and hypertension patient but won the fight against the COVID19.

A smiling Sudhir Biswas was seen coming out from hospital and showing victory sign to the doctors and hospital staff after being released. He thanks the hospital staffs who treated him during his stay at the Covid centre. .

Two COVID mothers who underwent caesarean section and delivered healthy babies, including a boy and a girl, in the hospital on July 24 were also discharged after their recovery today.

A total of 647 patients including 36 today were discharged after recovery in Kokrajhar district. Meanwhile 9 new COVID19 positive cases were detected in Kokrajhar bringing the total number of COVID-19 positive cases to 973 today. Total 30 patients were referred to other hospitals for better treatment.On the other hand, a random swab collection drive was carried out in various locations of Kokrajhar town.
