Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that quality education to students is an important priority in the state, for which joint efforts are needed. While the School Education Department and the Tribal Affairs Department should focus on appointing qualified teachers and increasing other educational facilities, good buildings should be constructed by the PIU of the Public Works Department. Education has an important place in the road map of Atma-nirbhar Madhya Pradesh. There is a need for continuous work in the direction of quality education and consequently providing employment to the students according to their qualifications.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was dedicating 36 new school buildings and other facilities of the School Education Department in 13 districts of the state from Minto Hall auditorium today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also performed bhumi pujan for 58 educational buildings of Tribal Affairs Department in 9 districts.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he will not compromise on the quality of education. According to the National Education Policy, the work of expansion of educational facilities will go on continuously. We have given special attention to the education of daughters. New high schools and higher secondary schools have been established in the state. This is the reason why children are going to schools in large numbers. We will not compromise on the quality of education at any cost. Primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools have been opened continuously. Thousands of villages were without school buildings. Both the Department of School Education and Tribal Affairs should do brain-storming, selection of qualified teachers should also be done so that we can positively change the scenario of education of the state. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that children are regularly going to schools in primary schools. The major reason for this is the creation of well-equipped school buildings. Four times the children of the state are getting selected in UPSC. Facilities have been increased in the field of both school education and higher education. Along with the appointment of teachers, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also directed to ensure the arrangement of laboratories, libraries etc. in the school buildings.
Students from KG to 12th will study in one campus
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that 9 thousand 200 CM Rise Schools having facilities will be started in the state. In the financial year 2021-22, 350 schools in the state will be developed as CM Rise Schools. School buildings will be constructed at a cost of Rs 18 to 24 crores. They will be arranged in 25-30 km radius in different areas of the state. In the next three years, children of classes KG to XII will study in the same educational campus in these schools. 95 CM Rise Schools will also be opened in tribal areas. All the departments should cooperate together in the implementation of the scheme of CM Rise School.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan remembered Jain sir
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that there are many teachers who change the lives of students. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, while remembering his primary teacher Shri Ratanchand Jain, said that along with the education of the curriculum, rituals were also inculcated. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the School Education Department, Tribal Affairs Department and Public Works Department to make continuous efforts to change the scenario of education in the state.
PIU becomes a useful agency
Public Works Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava said that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has made special efforts to expedite the construction of school buildings. He formed the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in the year 2010. Due to this the work of construction of government buildings has started to be done in an economical manner and in time limit. This is a revolutionary change of the last decade and a half. Shri Bhargava said that if Chief Minister Shri Chouhan had not imagined this, then today this ideal situation of availability of buildings in the education world could not have been created.
No more schools under trees
Tribal Affairs Minister Sushri Meena Singh said that there was a time when schools were run under trees in the state. There was lack of buildings. Schools and students were deprived of basic facilities. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has always focused on improving the education system. The education world of the state is getting the benefit of this.
Madhya Pradesh ahead in implementation of New Education Policy
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Education Shri Inder Singh Parmar said that the construction work of school buildings in the state has been done in a quality manner. These buildings were needed for a long time. The work became possible due to availability of financial resources. Shri Parmar said that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has taken an important step of allocating an amount of Rs. 1500 crore for CM Rise Scheme. Along with this, good work is being done in Madhya Pradesh under the National Education Policy. Madhya Pradesh has started moving on a new path in the field of education. The work of selection of teachers is being done very seriously so that the students are benefitted. Minister of State for Public Works Shri Suresh Dhakad was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Principal Secretary School Education Department, Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami gave information regarding the education arrangements. She also told about the efforts made during the Corona period to provide the benefits of education to the students through various methods. The programme was conducted by Deputy Secretary School Education Smt. Anubha Shrivastava. Commissioner Tribal Affairs Shri Sanjeev Singh expressed gratitude.
