Adequate staff must in educational institutions operating in tribal areas: Sushri Meena Singh
Bhopal: Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sushri Meena Singh has instructed the departmental officers to ensure adequate arrangement of staff in educational institutions operating in the tribal areas. She also sought information about the attachment made for the administrative works of the staff associated with teaching work. Minister Sushri Meena Singh was reviewing departmental schemes at a meeting of officials in Mantralaya today.
The Tribal Affairs Minister gave instructions in the meeting to approve and start work related to infrastructure in the Slum Development Scheme of the Welfare Department soon. She said that local public representatives should be consulted before approving these works. Instructions were also given in the meeting that an MoU should be signed with reputed institutions for employment oriented training under special central assistance. In the training, those trades through which youths belonging to scheduled castes and tribal groups can be provided employment should be chosen. Implementation of Akansha Yojana was also discussed in the meeting. Instructions were given that empanelment of prestigious coaching institute should be made for the success of students in national level competitive examinations. Discussion was also held regarding appointment of teachers in Eklavya residential schools, transfers, opening of new residential hostels and availability of departmental budget in the meeting.
Trophy presented to Tribal Affairs Minister
Principal Secretary Smt. Pallavi Jain Govil, Commissioner Tribal Affairs Shri Sanjeev Singh and departmental officers presented trophies and citation to the Tribal Affairs Minister Sushri Meena Singh. The tableau of the Tribal Affairs Department bagged the first prize for best performance of schemes in this year’s State-level Republic Day celebrations held at Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal.
In the front of the tableau of the Department of Tribal Affairs, a new step towards economic empowerment, self-employment, was shown depicting tribals making the products in a small factory. The second part of the tableau showed a book depicted incorporating the tribal culture and languages in different courses. The tableau also had the scenario of Eklavya School. The middle of the tableau, outlined the bamboo industry showing a woman making a bamboo basket. The last part of the tableau focused on Padhen aura aage badhe – naye aasman ko chhoein (study and move ahead, soar new heights), provision of scholarship for foreign studies in which students going for foreign studies were shown.
